When you want to add ideas to the Co-motion Lite for Internet session, use the Idea palette to create them. The Idea palette contains the tools you will need.
Idea Palette Types of Ideas
Co-motion Lite for Internet's Idea palette provides you with three different types of ideas. The reports group ideas of each type together.
An example of how your group might consistently use the types of ideas is as follows: the shovel tool to suggest concerns or problems, the target tool to suggest objectives or goals, and the runner tool to suggest actions or things to do.
Creating and Placing an Idea in the Session window
There are three ways to create an idea and place it in the Session window: selecting an idea tool, tearing off an idea, and using the Ideas menu.
Remember to select the Browse Hand after you have created an idea. Otherwise, every time you click in the Session window you will place an idea of the last type you selected.
The Browse Hand at the top of the palette enables you to select and move ideas.
To delete an idea, select an idea and choose Delete from the Ideas menu. You can only delete ideas that you've created yourself.
To create an idea by selecting an Idea tool follow these steps:
Select an Idea tool that reflects the type of idea you want to create;
Decide where you want it to be in the Session window and click there;
Type your idea in the text box that appears; and
Press ENTER or RETURN to send your idea to the rest of the group. Your idea’s icon will remain dimmed until it has been sent.
To create an idea by tearing it off follow these steps:
Click and hold the Idea tool in the palette that best represents your idea type;
Drag it to an area in the Session window and release the mouse button;
Type your idea in the text box; and
Press ENTER or RETURN.
To create an idea using the Ideas menu follow these steps:
Select an Idea tool in the Idea palette;
Choose the Create command from the Ideas menu;
Type in the text box; and
Press ENTER or RETURN.
Moving Ideas
You can move any idea in your Session window by following these steps:
Select the Browse Hand tool from the Idea palette;
Click to select the idea and drag it to a new location then release the mouse button.
To select and move several ideas at the same time, hold the SHIFT key while selecting the ideas then drag one of the ideas. All of the ideas will move together.
